Day 4 – simply basic

I’m moving forward with camera’s instruction: Camera Menus, First Steps and Basic Photography – sounds easy so far. I’ve read how to use camera menus, although I’ve figured it out by myself on the first day, but well… what if I missed something? (I didn’t)

The First Steps chapter I’ve read on the day I bought camera, because it explains how to attach lens, insert battery and so on. I’ve read it again today, to make sure that I haven’t missed something (I didn’t), and started wondering about the lens: so far I use AF (autofocus) and MF (manualfocus) looks like a jungle for me… Plus all those lens rings, I get the zoom ring, but what about the other one? Why is it here? How to use it? Why do I need it? To read the manual of the lens goes to the to do list.
